FERC Permian Basin Expansion
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeks comments on the scope of environmental issues to address in its review of Northern Natural Gas Company’s Permian Basin Expansion Project. The company proposes to construct and operate approximately 16.2 miles of interstate natural gas transmission pipeline and associated facilities, and a new compressor station in New Mexico and Texas. The project also includes modifications to the company’s existing Plains compressor station. The project would provide about 361,600 dekatherms per day of firm natural gas transportation service to a new natural gas-fired generation facility in Gaines County, Texas.
