In 2018, environmental markets were estimated at $370B or 3% of the U.S. GDP in 2016. According to Precedence Research, the industry is now worth $553B and is anticipated to grow to $783B by 2030.

The opening keynote presentation this year will be given by Kathleen Barrón, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Constellation. Constellation is the largest producer of carbon-free energy in the US, as well as the leading competitive retail supplier of power and energy for residential and business customers. The company is headquartered in Baltimore. Their generation fleet powers over 20 million homes. The company’s mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy, with an annual output that is 90 percent carbon-free.

EMA’s committees are composed of industry volunteers. Member companies provide the volunteer committee members. EMA committees work proactively to implement solutions for the benefit of the energy industry. The current EMA committees are:

In 2004, EMA changed its name to The Environmental Markets Association. The change was made to reflect more broad market-based solutions to solve environmental challenges in the US. The organization was founded in 1997.
