FERC Natural Gas Storage Project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeks comments on an environmental assessment for Egan Hub Storage LLC’s proposal to increase the storage capacity of its existing natural gas storage facility in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. The project, which includes the construction of two new salt dome storage caverns, would add approximately 16 billion cubic feet of working gas capacity at the existing Egan Gas Storage Facility. The expansion is intended to support the continued and growing demand for high-deliverability storage services in the Gulf Coast region. CP26-45-000

BLM Utah Oil and Gas Lease Sale

The Bureau of Land Management will hold a lease sale for 39 oil and gas parcels totaling 54,114 acres in Utah. The bureau completed scoping on these parcels in January 2026 and held a public comment period on the parcels and the related environmental analysis, which closed in March 2026. Parcels offered in a federal oil and gas lease sale include appropriate stipulations to protect important natural resources.

NY PSC 160 MW Yellow Barn Solar Project

The New York Public Service Commission seeks comments on Yellow Barn Solar LLC’s proposal to construct a photovoltaic solar energy generating facility with a capacity of up to 160 megawatts in Tompkins County. The project would span approximately 850 acres and connect to National Grid’s transmission line between the existing Milliken and Etna substations. The company expects the project to generate enough electricity to power approximately 35,000 households each year over the next 40 years. 25-E-0462

NYSERDA NEVI Program Funding Opportunity

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority seeks proposals for a $45 million funding opportunity to support the development of direct current fast chargers for electric vehicles across two tracks of projects. Approximately $15 million will be available for projects under the Alternative Fuel Corridor Track, and $30 million under the Community Track. NYSERDA may use any funding remaining in one track to support additional projects in the other track after eligible projects have been funded. The opportunity aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles while supporting emissions reductions in the transportation sector. The initiative, funded through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, or NEVI, program, is a collaboration between NYSERDA and the New York State Department of Transportation. PON 6150

MO PSC Resource Planning Rules

The Missouri Public Service Commission seeks comments on its updated draft integrated resource planning rules for electric corporations. The commission updated its initial draft following stakeholder input on multiple topics, including load forecasting requirements and supply- and demand-side resource analyses. The commission also requests feedback on the estimated costs of compliance for each electric utility in order to inform the development of fiscal notes for the formal rulemaking process. Under SB 4, enacted in April 2025, the commission is required to initiate integrated resource plan proceedings for electric utilities and to establish a schedule for utilities to file IRPs every four years. OR PUC Multi-Year Rate Plan Framework

The Oregon Public Utilities Commission will hold a public meeting to discuss a multi-year plan ratemaking framework following HB 3179 and SB 688 enacted in 2025. HB 3179 requires the commission to adopt rules establishing multi-year rate plans for jurisdictional electric and gas utilities. SB 688 permits the commission to investigate, develop, and adopt a performance-based framework for jurisdictional electric utilities. Commission staff recently released a straw proposal for the first phase, outlining a multi-year rate plan with a five-year term that is designed to contain and smooth customer rate impacts, maintain utility financial stability, and reduce regulatory burden. The proposal would use an index-based revenue cap and utilize revenue decoupling to effectuate the cap and promote efficiency, deferring the design of the decoupling mechanism to a later phase. CAISO Interconnection Service Capacity Rights

The California Independent System Operator Corp. is expected to issue a final proposal to establish the rights and obligations associated with retaining deliverability and interconnection service capacity rights when a generating unit experiences an outage or ceases operations. A draft proposal, issued last month, would require generating units that cease operations to notify the ISO and identify an appropriate path forward to ensure prudent use of existing capacity and encourage timely repowers and returns to service. The grid operator explained that a generator continues to hold deliverability and interconnection service capacity for a period after ceasing operations, triggering future study results to identify additional network upgrades at ratepayers’ expense when there is available capacity. The proposal establishes requirements for generating facilities that cease operations, with noncompliance potentially resulting in the loss of interconnection service capacity and deliverability rights.

AZ CC Advanced Nuclear Power Development

The Arizona Corporation Commission will hold a workshop as part of its proceeding examining the potential development of new nuclear generation. The workshop will focus on water resources, construction and supply chain, workforce development, and community engagement efforts. The meeting will facilitate conversations between appropriate stakeholders regarding the future of advanced nuclear energy in the state. The commission aims to develop a roadmap that will enable the development of advanced nuclear power generation in Arizona by 2035. E-00000A-25-0026

MI PSC Upper Peninsula Power Rate Case

The Michigan Public Service Commission will hold a pre-hearing to discuss Upper Peninsula Power Company’s application to adjust retail rates and charges applicable to electricity service. The company is seeking a total revenue increase of approximately $17.3 million, based on a projected 12-month test year ending Dec. 31, 2027, and a return on equity of 10.55 percent. U-22032
