Nanotronics will host its first annual Manufacturing Summit from October 6th through October 7th 2022. The Summit will take place at Nanotronics’ facility in Building 20 of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
About the 2022 Nanotronics Manufacturing Summit
Nanotronics is convening policymakers, manufacturing experts, industry pioneers, academics, and key stakeholders for a cross-platform exchange geared towards devising solutions for today’s most pressing manufacturing challenges. The Summit will include a series of provocative panels featuring influential figures in synthetic biomanufacturing, alternative energy, and ESG with the ultimate goal of advancing technological innovation across multiple sectors of industry.
Panel: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: Electric Vehicles and Beyond
- Panel Date: Oct. 7
- Panel Time: 1:30pm EST
Electric Vehicles (EVs) have enjoyed significant progress and growth in the transportation sector worldwide. Electric vehicles are beneficial to the environment and fighting climate change, because they offer zero emissions. To more completely enter the era of electric mobility, major changes need to occur, both from the consumer’s side and the manufacturer’s side. For these changes to occur, multiple challenges need to be addressed.
This panel will address the issues involved in implementing alternative energy across all segments of the transportation sector, including EV charging, electric batteries, maritime highways, freight, rail, air travel, and much more. Considerations of the related supply chains will also be discussed.
The Moderator of this panel is Jennifer Strong, Executive Editor, MIT Technology Review.
