The annual MIT VC Conference brings together venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and students for fast-paced panels and dynamic keynotes focused on the intersection of entrepreneurship and venture capital. This year’s event will focus on energy and big data, and will feature Energy Solutions Forum (ESF) Founder & CEO and MIT alum Angelique Mercurio as the energy panel moderator.
The panelists include representatives from the top VC firms currently investing in the energy industry: Steve Crane, CEO of LightSail Energy; Brendan McCord, Senior Associate, Lux Capital Management; Dhiraj Malkani, Partner, RockPort Capital Partners; and Matthew Nordan, Vice President, Venrock.
Ms. Mercurio will lead the panelists in discussion on funding trends for energy startups, examining the first hand experience of each investor and entrepreneur. The discussion will ultimately aim to explore the venture capital role in promoting and developing game-changing energy technology.
ESF is an energy policy data company and tenant company of NYC Accelerator for a Clean & Resilient Economy (ACRE), NYC’s premiere cleantech incubator for energy software and hardware startups. ESF’s enterprise SaaS product, EnerKnol, is the first one-stop energy policy data portal, dedicated to solving the big government data problem the energy industry constantly faces.
