EIA U.S. Energy Outlook
The U.S. Energy Information Administration will issue its Short-Term Energy Outlook report, providing a forecast of energy supply, demand, and prices. Wind and utility-scale solar capacity are expected to increase by 11 gigawatts and 20 gigawatts, respectively, in 2022, according to the agency’s last short-term outlook. The agency forecast an increase of 1.3 percent in energy-related carbon emissions in 2022 mainly due to the growth in transportation demand, followed by a fall of 0.7 percent in 2023.
